10/2007 – Present Target Corporation Peoria, IL

Store Team Leader

 General Manager of $43 million retail Target Store; reporting directly to a District Team Leader. Manage 8 executive team leaders and 190-250 team members. Responsible for all fiscal, team, operational, service and merchandising decisions at the Peoria Target Store.

 Executive Talent & People planner 10 Central Illinois Target stores; Recruit, hire and assist in destination planning for 50+ Executive Team Leaders, working with 10 other Store Team Leaders and District Partners to train, relocate and place the right people at the right time. Use influencing skills to coach, mentor and persuade people movement with peers and above.

 District responsibilities include people planning, recruiting, training, and mentoring other executives and store team leaders throughout central Illinois.

 Team and retention improvements at the Peoria Store – reducing turnover by 70% over the last two years, improvement in team morale & development, taking a “team focus store in 2007 to two solid Opinion Survey Results with 14 increases and no decreases;

 Achieved and improved fiscal numbers – making sales, payroll and expenses.

Store Team Leader

 General Manager of $33 million retail Target Store; reporting directly to a District Team Leader. Manage 6 executive team leaders and 150-190 team members.

 Successfully completed a $12 million remodel in July 2007 through relentless recruiting / staffing an additional 60 team members, ensuring that the remodel sequence schedule was planned, executed along with the construction crew and store operations. It was completed on time and exceeded Target’s expectations.
